When necessary to ensure safety, vehicular traffic routes shall be marked with continuous stripes in a clearly visible colour, preferably white or yellow, taking into account the colour of the surface.The stripes must be located so that they indicate the necessary safe distance between the vehicles and any objects in the vicinity, and between pedestrians and vehicles.Permanent vehicular traffic routes in outdoor areas shall, if necessary, be marked as mentioned in the first and second paragraphs, unless they are provided with appropriate barriers or pavements.Information about permitted loads must be visible and easily understandable on quays and in other areas where driving may entail a danger of overloading.
