    The employer shall take the necessary measures based on the health and safety risks that emerge from the risk assessment. In particular, it must be ensured that:
    1. a.
      collective fall protection is prioritized over personal fall protection equipment
    2. b.
      the work equipment is dimensioned for the work to be carried out and for predictable loads
    3. c.
      scaffolding is stable and the supporting surface has sufficient load-carrying capacity to withstand the loads to which it is exposed,
    4. d.
      where possible, the work is carried out according to ergonomic principles from a suitable surface
    5. e.
      access routes are adapted according to how often the employees move around, how long the access routes are used and their height,
    6. f.
      access routes can be used for evacuation in an emergency,
    7. g.
      moving around between access routes and work platforms, scaffolding decks or gangways does not pose a further risk of falls,
    8. h.
      safety devices to prevent falling are fitted where this is necessary, and
    9. i.
      equipment is secured to prevent objects from falling and posing a risk to other people.
    Collective fall protection devices can only be breached at access points where there is a ladder or stairs. When, in connection with the execution of a certain task, it is necessary to temporarily remove a collective fall protection device, safety measures shall be taken to compensate for this before the task is carried out. When the task has been temporarily or fully completed, the collective fall protection shall be reinstated.
    In places where there are special elements of risk, such as traffic, live cables or a landslide risk, etc., special safety measures shall be implemented before equipment for work at height is assembled and used. Work at height shall not be carried out in weather conditions that pose a risk to the employees’ health and safety.
