a. demolition, repairs and maintenance of asbestos-containing materials, including handling of asbestos-containing waste from such work. As a rule, asbestos-containing material shall be removed, but sealing, encapsulation and enclosure may be permitted in some cases. In such cases, the solutions must completely prevent the spread of asbestos fibre effectively and safely and not involve interference with the asbestos-containing material; b. mining and processing of rock containing a maximum of 1% asbestos by weight; c. sampling and analysis to determine the asbestos content of a particular material.
